A Place of Justice, Legacy, and Healing

At Bottar Law, where we work matters. That’s why our headquarters is located at the Historic Fairfield Estate in Syracuse, New York – a landmark that embodies the strength, dignity, and resilience we bring to every case.

More Than an Office. A Legacy.

Built between 1865 and 1875, the Fairfield Estate was originally home to Andrew S. White, a respected attorney and the nephew of Cornell University’s first president. Over the years, it has served as a gathering place for influential figures, including President Theodore Roosevelt, and as a safe haven along the Underground Railroad.

Its architecture includes original interior designs by Gustav Stickley, a master of the American Arts and Crafts movement, whose handcrafted library remains one of the estate’s defining features.

Today, it is where Bottar Law carries forward a 150-year tradition of justice.

“We don’t just rent an office. We’ve made a historic commitment to the community we serve.”

Why It Matters to Our Clients

The Fairfield Estate is more than a building. It’s a message.

  • You are not just another case. You deserve to be represented in a space built on values like protection, legacy, and service.
  • You’re entering a place of safety. When clients walk through our doors, they often feel overwhelmed, confused, or grieving. The Estate is designed to offer comfort and emotional grounding during one of life’s hardest moments.
  • You are part of something bigger. Our location anchors us in the heart of Syracuse and reflects our decades-long investment in the people of Central New York.

A Healing Space for Difficult Times

The trauma of serious injury or loss can shake your sense of safety. That’s why every detail of our setting is intentional:

  • Private, welcoming conference rooms for confidential conversations
  • Historic design that honors tradition, respect, and professionalism
  • A calming atmosphere that contrasts the cold, institutional feel of most law offices investment in the people of Central New York.
